CARNET de DESSINS de mode, collection dautomne-hiver, c. 1958-59
Vingt-cinq feuilles en couleurs comprenant chacune de trois à six dessins dont des croquis de face et de dos : manteaux de fourrure en vison, hermine, renard noir, ragondin et breitwantz ; tailleurs en satin, robes de soirée et de cocktail. Les tenues sont pour certaines accompagnées dun accessoire tel que manchon en fourrure ou écharpe. De nombreuses annotations manuscrites au crayon de papier précisent les matières à utiliser lors de la mise en couture.

Si le jeune dessinateur italien René Gruau illustre les créations de Balenciaga, Rochas ou Givenchy dès son arrivé à Paris dans les années 1930, nos carnets sont à rapprocher de dessins réalisés pour Christian Dior (Ader, n°419 et 420, 18 novembre 2016) et Jacques Fath. Nos dessins rappellent en effet les premières collections dYves Saint Laurent chez Dior, avec sa célèbre ligne Trapèze en 1958, dont on retrouve la ligne dépaule et lencolure dégagée. De nombreuses maisons, comme celle de Jacques Heim, sinspirent également de cette ligne, ainsi qu'en témoigne un carnet conservé au musée Galliera (2013.0.5).
